This is a Seeburg 201 jukebox, produced in 1958. It plays 200 selections (100
records) of 45 rpm records. This jukebox was modified into a stereo version
by a previous owner with a upgrated amplifier and cartridge. This picture
represents what it looked like in "off the truck condition".00 |

First the jukebox was striped down to a bare cabinet. The cabinet was cleaned
to remove 48 years of dirt, grime and grease. |
The cabinet was painted inside and on the front and back to give it that fresh, clean
look. |
New veneer was put on the bottom sides of the cabinet as the original finish was
a faux wood painted finish. |
The mechanism was cleaned, degreased and lubricated to ensure it would operate properly. |
The wooden side panels were then stained in a translucent turquoise color similar
to it's sister jukebox the Seeburg 161 (because I like this finish better), then
coated with several coats of satin finish polyurthene. |
The jukebox was put back together, polished and buffed, all lights replaced.
The receiver was rebuilt, amplifier tested and needles replaced. All selections
were tested to ensure it selects properly. This jukebox has been
sold and is no longer in my collection. |
The back metal doors were painted in a silver hammertone paint and new decals were
installed. |
The buttons were cleaned and polished to restore their original beauty. |
