This is a Rockola 1493 Princess jukebox.  It was produced in 1962 and plays 100 selections of 45 rpm records.  It is very well known for it’s small size.  When this jukebox arrived, I was amazed all the chrome that it was “supposed” to have, but over the years had flaked off.  The problem was that in order to rechrome all the pieces that needed it I would need a second mortgage on my home.  I came up with an idea that we would paint the metal pieces but wanted a color theme that would make it look good.  I saw this pink and purple pearl paint and fell in love.  Being that the Princess’ character colors were lavender and pink, I figured why not.  Several coats of clear coat was applied to protect the finish and as you can see the paint job came out well.

The cabinet was veneered with a maple burl veneer and a natural stain was applied to bring out the grain but not change the color.  A gloss finish was applied to the cabinet to continue with the high gloss finish on the metal.

This jukebox has since been sold and is no longer in my possession.
