This is my best friend Brad's Wurlitzer 800 when it was in California.  It was produced in 1940 and plays 24 selection of 78 rpm records (or at least it WILL play).  Brad rescued this jukebox from a restoration in progress, when the previous owner passed away unexpectantly.  There are a few missing parts to the jukebox but all in all it's a solid jukebox with a lot of potential.
At some point in it's life a reveneer job began on this juke.  Although I'm sure that someone put various hours into doing what they had done, Gorilla Glue is not the best option for veneering anything.  With that said, the old veneer needed to be stripped off.  This picture shows the veneer of one side.
This picture shows the veneer being removed from the top of the jukebox.  This was a very slow process but it eventually came off.
Brad loves it when Jay uses hammers on his jukeboxes, so Jay posed for this picture especially for Brad.
This picture shows the only remaining veneer to be removed.  Once this veneer is removed, the jukebox will be stripped of any remaining glue, then all the remaining components will be removed, to begin the application of the veneer.
