This is a AMI J-120 produced in 1959.  It is the first stereo jukebox AMI produced and it plays 120 selections of 45 rpm records.  This jukebox was totally taken apart, mechanism cleaned, degreased and lubricated.  The cabinet was painted a pearl turquoise color which when you look at it in one direction it appears turquoise, in another direction it looks teal, in another direction it looks mint green.  Inside the jukebox there are plastic side covers.  One side was broken, however used or reproduction parts were not available for this juke.  After  a while we were able to create a mold of the side, forming the area that was broken off out of clay.  We then poured a plaster cast of this mold and used that to create a fiberglass reproduction piece of this side trim.  If you look at the bottom of this web page it shows the two side trim parts.  Can you tell which is reproduced?  The diffuser that illuminates colored light on the grill was redone with stained glass paint in various colors.  I wanted a lot of color to this jukebox, thus my diffuser would have to be colorful.  The chrome was polished and the dome was created from a sheet of Lexon.
